the heartwood home collection
Home can be found, one little beautiful thing at a time.
Having moved around quite a bit growing up, the idea of a true and lasting home used to feel like a faraway place to me… but it was my dream. While waiting to be in a house of my own, I realized that home can be created through little beautiful things that speak to us. A favorite color palette, a thrifted plate, a scene that inspires you...
Enjoy this mini collection of pastoral paintings intended to create a sense of home, whether in a rented apartment or your forever home.
“Heartwood Haven” is an original acrylic landscape painting on raw canvas by Hannah Gabriela. Gentle forms create trees and foreground foliage framing an open field in the distance. Measuring 18×36 inches, this painting is the perfect size to hang above a bed, couch, or accent table. Painting comes as the canvas itself, unframed with painted sides and ready to hang with wire. Please allow 5-7 business days for your painting to ship.

Painted on raw canvas, “Heartwood Glow” emanates a soft, time-worn charm, and an antique gold frame completes the artwork. The vintage frame contains gentle signs of use and time-earned character that add to its collected, old-world feel.

This painting on raw canvas is finished with a bronze beaded frame and comes ready to hang.
“When the Land Calls” measures 12×15 inches with the frame. Please allow 7-10 business days for your painting to ship.
Behind the name
Years ago, I bought a children’s book called “Heartwood Hotel” about a mouse who finds a true home during a storm. How cute, right!? I bought it to read to my kids one day, in the future home I couldn’t wait to live in.
I had forgotten about that book until it came time to name these pieces and the collection. The word “heartwood” kept coming up… and I remembered the book and what it represented for me.
This collection is just about a little mouse (me… and maybe you, too?) daydreaming, finding, and creating home—even while things in life are still not yet “finished,” and even as they continue to change and begin again, time after time.
