Painted during the height of the pandemic, I had been spending a lot of time in the Wissahickon Valley Park, admiring the the blues and greens in the creek and throughout the woods. But along the hike, there’s many areas where one must traverse under bridges and will see graffiti and rust-ridden materials. Inspired by these walks, this painting captures the lusciousness of nature & the intrigue of man-made items, reminding us that beauty is found among all of it.
